Not sure one can create on demand. Oh, I know it's an exercise, but "create." Or should it have an exclamation point? Or a question markK?
Create. Make something out of nothing. Cause something to come into existence that didn't exist before. Someone once said that if you want to make apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe.
Create? Can human beings create? Or do we merely assemble stuff out of what already exists. What does it mean to create anyway? And must the creation be something of quality (see "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" to define quality)? If not, what makes Jackson Pollack's stuff art, while the drippings I leave on the tarp when I paint is merely a mess?
Create! Get the lead out and get at it. Inspiration on demand. Wouldn't that be nice? One writer once said that writing was 1/8 inspiration and 7/8 perspiration. Do you really have to sweat to create? Probably. And that may be why I'm not a creator -- or particularly creative. Laziness may be the anathama of creation. After all, even God took a breather after six days.
