Wednesday Morning, 8:00 A.M.
Now that I'm back to VOXing, I've started to read the past posts of my neighbors and it's making me realize how much I've missed -- and missed my friends. And from checking my Yahoo mail (something I rarely do because mostly what I get are ads from JR Camera), I find that I've missed a number of people on MySpace wanting to be added to my friends list. So I've got to get down on my knees and apologize to them for being so self-centered.
The reality is that I've been totally absorbed with the Pooh.
When she was really small I made up a song for her:
I love my baby, I really do.
I love my baby, she is my Pooh.
She is my baby, I love her true.
I love my baby, I love my Pooh.
This sung in a raspy falsetto to a tune I also made up.
I used to sing it to her several times a day, mostly when she was lying on me drinking her bottle. But as she stopped lying on me to take her bottle I more or less stopped singing it to her.
Yesterday we were in the toy room watching Shrek. She crawled across the couch and lay on my lap and for no reason I started singing her song. She turned her head and gazed into my eyes while I sang. When I finished she signed "again," so of course I sang it again. She signed "again" a second time and got a third rendition. Every time I sang it she looked at me so intently I thought I might fall into her eyes.
Oh yeah -- and I've been also been doing a lot of surfing the Net.
