Johnathon's Birthday
Johnathon is 9 years old today. We had his birthday party last night at Chuck-E-Cheese's. The kids arrived at 1700, the adults at 1800 -- a good arrangement from my point of view, since we got there in time to miss the kids running all over the play area.
Other than the new 9-year old, I noted the huge difference that 9 months has made in Pooh. At Alex's party (also at CEC's) in November, Pooh, at just 13 months, was still very much a baby. Now, at 20 months, she's equally as much fully a toddler.
Johnathon scored big with Pok-E-Mon (is that spelled right?) stuff, which is what he wanted. Marilyn and I gave him a special gift, not mentioned here, which he will enjoy all summer, we hope.
As soon as it was socially acceptable I left, still feeling rocky, and took John home too. He was ragged out from lack of sleep. Marilyn arrived about 90 minutes later after helping clean up and taking Johnathon to his Dad's for the weekend.
I watched The Visitors, a real hoot, in the interim.
